Rite of passage presentation
Videos:
Evaluation:
My mistake in th presentation was my lack of communication with my workmates because thought that the presentation was the day after, and obviously it wasn't, but I was clever enough to improvise with all the knowledge I had about the bullet ant.
My opinion about 1st of Batxillerat
This is the end of my first term in 1st of Batxillerat. This is my first year after my secondary education. This the first of my two years before I go to university. Having passed two months in Batxillerat, I can say that Batxillerat is more difficult than ESO. It is more difficult because some subjects are new, subjects such as philosophy or sciencies of th earth(it is like geology).
But I must say that the contents of the books hasn't changed dramatically. They have been expanded a bit more.
For me, Batxillerat isn't a radical change of difficulty. I just have to put more effort to get the same marks as last year, which were really good.

Why do I like MMORPG videogames?
MMORPGs are a kind of videogames which lets you play in real-time with a huge number of players, all connected to the same server as you. One of the points why I like this kind of games is the character creator. It's really good that you can create a character of your pleasure, because this way you will be more connected to your character instead of being a character like many others. That's a point that I find really accurate for this type of games.
Many MMORPGs are games about of creating your character, leveling your character up, and finally get some gear to face dungeons, and several high level monsters. But there are games like World of Warcraft or even Diablo 3 that inside the game is important to get some rank in PvP battles.
PvP is another point of the MMORPGs that I like. The PvP system is a way to know how good is your ability in the game, while you fight against other players. Many players are good, others stink in the PvP, well there are a bit of everything in this type of game.
The last point that I like of the MMORPGs are the huge and beautiful areas that the games have. In games like The Elder Scrolls Online the area where you can play are extremely big, so big that you can compare it with the real world.

Rite of passage
Stag party
Stag party is one of the most common rites of passage in the modern era of the occidental world. Stag party is a party that takes place the day before you get married. It is more common among men, but also women do a stag party.
In a stag party the groom has to be dressed in an hilarrious way, and then they go to a bar to drink alcohol and rave in a disco sometimes. It is common among men to go to a striptease club, because for the groom it is his "last night of freedom".
I cannot talk about women, because I'm not a women, so that's all what I can explain about the stag party.

Control of the world... In my hands?!?
A question that many times I've asked to myself is... What would I do, if the control of our entire world is in my hands? And my answer to this question is... Refuse it. Let me explain why I would refuse it. I know a bit how am I. I have a custom in me, that consist in putting myslef in diferent situations and think what would I do. One of the situations, is the one that I have written some lines over.
My reason the refuse a power like this, is because some time after controling the world, I would become a dictator, a tyrant. With this little knowledge of me, that I've mentioned before, I can make sure that I'll become a dictator. That's why I'll never be a politician. Because having this power, I would solve the global problems, yes, but in me, a hunger of power would change me. I will erradicate from the Earth everyone who don't think like me, don't matter the way when the result is the one you wanted. Having said that, you may think that I will be worser than Adolf Hitler or Stalin, and you are right, I think it too.
Before I finish, let me ask you a question: are you strong enough to have this power, and more important, are you strong enough to not change when you have it?

THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES
I know that this movie is from the last year and all this stuff, but I can't stop thinking how incredible was this movie when you see it, on the BIG screen.
This movie is the defining chapter of the trilogy The Hobbit, one of Tolkien's most known books, after The Lord of the Rings. It explains how the journey of Bilbo Baggings in company of the wizard Gandalf the Grey and the 13 dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield, finishes, when the dwarf kingdom of Erebor is sieged by an army of man and elves, in a arguement to divide the fortunes, a massive army of orcs led by Azog tends to conquer Erebor.
I'm a fan of this trilogy and I don't care about people's complaints of this film. D**n, it was freaking awesome, in this film we had all the action we didn't had in the other two films. This will be the last one of the movies that would involve the Tolkien's universe, and I'm proud to have seen this film.

An unforgettable melody
As a fan of the The legend of Zelda saga, there's no reason why I don't like this song. Zelda has been part of my life since I when I was 3 years old(yeah, that's more than 13 years ago, such a long time, isn't it?). So it is written in my soul that I would love this song.
My pride
As I said in my Email to my teacher I've got a thing that fills me with pride. If you have read my post, you'll know what I'm talking about. Yes, I'm talking about my FCE diploma. I reached the level last year, while I was in my last year of secondary education. Many people think that this title is given by the highschools before you go to university, to make sure that you have the level to enter the university. But you have to reach the level by our own. Highschools only prepare you to have the level, then you have to present yourself to the official exams to get the title.
The exam has 5 parts: Writing, Reading, Listening, Use of English and finally Speaking. On one hand, the easiest parts for me were the Speaking and the Writing. They were so simple that when I was doing it, I noticed that the words were going outside of me with a fluency that I have never felt. On the other hand, my worst part was the Reading. I don't know why but the Reading was horrible for me. I'm sure that I've made many mistakes that if now I see the exam I would think how stupid this mistake is.

Why my cell's screen always smash?
Link: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3334966/So-S-phone-screens-smash-Formula-reveals-height-spin-rate-cause-dropped-phone-land-face-60-time.html
This article talks us about how could our cell phone slip from our hand to land, crushing with the floor and finish by having a shattered screen(it is the same way why a toast tends to land butter side down) explaining this fact with a physical formula.
The Professor Robert Matthews, physicist of the Aston University, has developed a formula that aims to explain why our cell phones, held when are in use, tend to spin.
Opinion:
It's funny to know that somebody has spend his time developping a formula like that, I don't know for other people, but for me is really hilarrious. Now I know how to avoid my cell phone falls. If the angle is not bigger tan 30 degrees I'm sure that my cell phone will stay in my hand instead of fall and break my screen.

My experience in England as a foreigner student
I've stayed in England for approximately 2 months of my life as a student. It has been a nice experience for me. More than nice, I would say exceptional. Why exceptional?
Well, there in Bournemouth and in Plymouth I've created some memories that I'll never forget. I've met people that in less than 2 weeks they were like my brothers. One of the best thing of this, is the huge amount of nationalities you can find there. I've met Russian, Italians, French, German, Polish, Dutch, Basque, Jordanian, Greek and of course English people.
The people in England are kind, even though they are a bit strange. They have some traditions that are a bit bizarre, but that's what makes the English culture unique. One of my favourite traditions is one of the oldest traditions, the tea time. Most of the people think that at 4 p.m. all the English people sit at the table and drink tea, but it isn't that way. There's not a specific hour to drink. People can go to tea salons(normally named after a woman) and drink tea when they want.
This is one custom I experienced whilst in England, perhaps I will explain more English customs in my blog.

Does a lightsaber exist?
Link: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3324173/The-lock-breaking-LIGHTSABER-Air-Force-unveils-latest-tool-let-soldiers-break-buildings.html
This article tells us about a new "lightsaber" created by the U.S. Air Forces and a technological business. This "lightsaber" is called Tech Torch. This tool is able to rip through half-inch steel bars in seconds.
It works through a combination of chemistry and physics. The heat generated by the Tech Torch is able to render steel in a molten state, and the force of the propulsion erodes the material. The heat generated can reach 4000 ºF in less than 2 seconds!
Opinion:
I think it's incredible how fast technology is progressing. 20 years ago the lightsaber was considered as a futuristic techonolgy that we weren't going to reach in this era. And look where we are now. We have created the prototype of a lightsaber. In my opinion i isn't going to be used as a weapon as we watched in the Star Wars saga. I think the U.S. Air Forces will use it as a tool. A tool used in emergency cases, emergencies such as when they are trapped in a tank, or when they have to escape from somewhere...

Rebel songs -Smells like teen spirit
Load up on guns; bring your friends
It's fun to lose and to pretend
She's over-bored and self-assured
Oh no, I know a dirty word
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello
[Chorus]
With the lights out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now; entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now; entertain us
A mulatto, an albino, a mosquito, my libido
Yeah, hey
Yeah
I'm worse at what I do best
And for this gift I feel blessed
Our little group has always been
And always will until the end
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello
[Chorus]
And I forget just why I taste
Oh yeah, I guess it makes me smile
I found it hard; it's hard to find
Oh well, whatever, never mind
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello
With the lights out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now; entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now; entertain us
A mulatto, an albino, a mosquito, my libido
A denial, a denial, a denial, a denial, a denial
A denial, a denial, a denial, a denial
Meaning:
This songs is meant to advertise of the danger when the teenagers start to be more rebel, when they want to go out in the night and have some special kind of fun, taking pills. And it also talks about the danger or the people who are outside in the night waiting to do mugging to a teenager by surprise.
Videogames are better than porn?
Link: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3320256/Is-Fallout-4-better-sex-Pornhub-reveals-traffic-dropped-10-day-game-released.html
Description:
Since the release of the video game "Fallout 4" many workers have been pretending to be sick so they could continue playing. Now, research has discovered that it also has consequences in the world of porn, making their daily views decrease (the drop was bigger than the 10% of the views). The research shows that the decreasing interest in the adult-content-sites' views was mainly made by the sports gamers, followed by the action gamers, adventure gamers, etc. One of the reasons of this was the huge experience that the game offers to the players, and the incredible hype it has created over the last five years.
My opinion:
I like videogames, but I consider it a bit heavy that workers/students pretend to be sick on the day of the release of the game. Why do you wake up at 5 am of the morning to play a videogame, when you have to go to work or go to school? I can't understand it. The weekends are meant to be your relax days, why don't you play on Satruday or even on Sunday? Anyway, I find it hilarious that on the day of the release of a game, the adult-content-sites have lost more than a 10% of their daily views. From my point of view, it is really funny. Is this game more interesting than online-adult-content?

Email to my teacher
Dear Teacher
I'm Xavi, one of your students of course, seated next to Gabriel Bastide. I'm half german half catalan boy. I'm 15 years old right now, next month I'll turn 16. I've got a sister called Laia you know well her while you were her teacher, so I don't have to give many details of her. My parents are Quim and Heide, everyone says that I look more like my mother, well I thinks that's why everyone asks me if I'm german. My hobbies are playing some of my favourites videogames, meet my friends and training MMA(mixed martial arts). Maybe in some time I would be able to compete in MMA competitions. I've traveled three times to England, specifically to the south(Plymouth and Bournemouth concretely), that is not a new thing that you learnt about me, because I've traveled with you. There's one thing in my room that fills with pride is my FCE diploma.

4th ESO's reflection
In comparison between 3rd and 4th of ESO, 4th has seemed to be less difficult than 3rd has been in every subject. Anyway for me English has been the easiest subject during all school year because I stayed more than a month speaking English in Bournemouth and Plymouth, even then English has been the only subject which has let me express myself and my thoughts about the world or the present by using my blog.
But not only English has been easier, History has been easier as well(well I've got a talent in history, and all what the teacher says in class remains in my mind, and I like history too, I must admit it) because History was about the First World War and the Second World War so it was to easy to memorise what happened during those years: some battles, strategies, politic ideologies(nazism and Italian fascism), etc. Maths has been another subject that was very easy, I've never studied(at least not study as hard as I can), the contents were very simple and not to hard to understand.
My optatives subjects were: Biology, Technology and Physics and Chemistry. For those subjects, all of them are sciences, so I had no problem to managed myself to get an excellent mark for the final term. The most interesting content was Mendel's laws and how genetic works inside the DNA.
As everything, there are easy subjects and hard subjects. Those subjects were Catalan and Spanish, I've never had a talent in understanding how literature works or even in syntax, and I'm worried about next year(I learn faster the germanic languages than latin languages). I can't understand why we need literature if only one or even two people of our class will be writers, but teachers are inistent to learn it although we are not going to use it or remember it anymore.
In conclusion, this year has been a great year comparing it with teh others years of my secondary education, because it's the final of my obligatory education and I will start to studyfor my future.

Yesterday's trip to BCN
Yesterday I went to Barcelona to assist to a show. This show was made by AuronPlay and Wismichu. We had several problems from the first moment.
First of all we arrived very late to the train and for a few minutes we caught the train. Then we got off the train in the station Passeig de Gràcia. Then we had many problems to find the local where the show was going to be represented. After half an hour, we found the local(we were lucky to have the Google Maps with us). At 12 o'clock the show started, it was really funny, I couldn't stop laughing during all the show. After finishing it, we took a photo with them(it is posted below the text). Then we went to a Burger King to eat something, their burgers are awesome, you must eat one at least once on your in your life. After that, we decide to go back home, but for a mistake of only 3 minutes we confused our train with another train so we had to wait at least one hour more to go home. And finally, at 20:30 we arrived to our respectives homes.

Being a cell rocks...
Some days ago I started to play a new game called Agar.io. In this game, you are a cell and your goal is to be the biggest cell in your game. For getting this goal you must feed yourself eating small particles. While you're growing you must avoid the viruses because they are going to break your in small cells and you will be the target of all the players from the game.
There are many strategies to eat the others players. One of them is the "mitosis", you divide yourself into two small cells, that's very usefull because one of those cells is propulsed to your target. Another of them is shooting little balls pressing "W" using them to stalk other players who have smaller cells.
This game is simply adictive. Trust me it's simply funny and entertaining. Try to play it, using this link agar.io.

Developed world, what's wrong with you?
I can't believe what is going on with us, we are making a step backwards. Nowadays nobody has respect for other people, corruption is extended around all our democracies of the developed world, poverty and discrimination are being more omnipresent in our present days. Seriously world? That's what you want? Do you want to live in a world where you can't belive in your own neighbour, family or friends? We must stop that now. Society will not go forward if we follow this way of thinking.
On the one hand, I just want to formulate a question: what do we understand if we talk about democracy? People choosing their leaders? Getting equality between men and women? Having civil rights? That's what most of the population think about what a democracy is, but this is one of both faces. The other face doesn't seem too "friendly", from my point of view it is an agressive face from the democracy. During Irak's War(2003-2011), where USA, UK, Spain and other countries murdered more than 300.000 citizens, who haven't got fault about the war which was taking place in their country.
On the other hand, there is another thing with today's people that drives me crazy. Nowadays if you are using an app called WhatsApp if you sent a message, and if in this message there is not an emoji you are being rude with him/her even though if you have yiur happiest day in your life, if there isn't and emoji you are being rude, that's why I don't like chatting apps, therefore I use them, they are important for me to communicate to my parents, etc. But what I want you to understand, is that you cannot say that someone is rude when you totally don't know which is his/her mood. Please don't make this mistake.
Having said all that, my critique is finished, and I say thanks to you, for reading my thoughts of the today's world.

Songs that can change my mood!
This song has always given me courage and confidence to follow my challenges and never give up. I identify myself with this song, and it gives the strength and the motivation while I'm training to not fail against my opponent, because when I'm motivated by this song, I've got the strength to achieve my goals.
This song one of is my favourites. Played by Lindsey Stirling, one of the bests violinists of our age. It was her first experiment for her to mix dubstep music with classical music, and its result... IT'S SIMPLY AWESOME!! One of the best songs I've ever listened to, trust me I recommend you listen to it at least once, I'm sure that you will like it!

CELTIC MUSIC
Presentation:
Description:
Celtic music is the music type which approaches us to approaches us to medieval times. Its similarities with the medieval music are practically non-existent, if you put only one song of celtic music to a person who never has listened to celtic music would answer you that is medieval music for sure, trust me I've tried. This presentation talks you about celtic music, what it is, many characteristics about it, and for sure, my favourites celtic musicians in Internet, Brunuhville and Adrian Von Ziegler. Enjoy it!
Memories of a tourist. Italy.
My trip to Italy with my highschool has been memorable. Many unforgettable moments have happened, and some more of less importance will be forgotten. But that will remain in my life memories, so long as we remember.
My best moment of my trip was when I was with Tim, Max and Arnau before going in our Rome hotel, before we were noticed that we had the PROTOTYPE of a hotel room. When we went into our room we didn't notice anything, but when we watched with attentive eyes, we noticed many fails in our room: the beds were a bit destroyed, our thermostat was doing "concerts" in the middle of the the night(so memorable music and so emotive), the ventilation grille didn't have screws, in our blankets there were some "red stains" and it was a bit uncomfortable, we had a table which could dance(it wasn't fixed at all), our wardrobe door was the best one I've ever seen before, it was removable.
This was our imperfectly perfect room, at first we disagreed with this room but at least we finally laughed as nobody has done before. It just was the perfect moment of all the trip. Check the video below to understand our laughter.

Paper Book vs Digital Book
Nowadays we are in an age which the traditional books made of paper and the digital books are coexisting, but which of them is better than the other? The paper book or the digital book?
Advantages and disadvantages of the paper book:
On one hand, the paper book is better than the digital book, for the feeling of having a book in your hands, reading it page by page, or even the touch of the paper with your skin. Another pro of the paper book is the relative resistance to water. A paper book does not start to fail after being soaked. And of course less fragile than the last-generation of eBooks.
On the other hand. The paper books are more inflamable than the digital books, and more sensitive when you try to rip the pages. Or even the ink when the book gets wet the sentences will be moved. Another disadvantatge of the paper book is that the paper books are more expensive than a digital book.
Advantages and disadvantages of the digital book:
On one hand, the digital books are cheaper than paper books and easier to bring it in a bag, because they are stored in the eBook. The brigthness of an eBook is easy to regulate and the pages are easier to moved them to continue reading.
On the other hand, digital books are more sensitive to water, bringing them to an short-circuit and them at least, being useless.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, and in my opinion, I would always be a paper book reader, the fomat of the digital book and the idea of having a tablet instead of a book it's a thing that annoys me.

The world best photos
First of all, both of us have to agree that is a striking image. At the bottom of the image there's a city crossed by a river, or maybe it could be the sea, who knows. At the top of the image there are grey clouds saying that a storm is above their heads. At the right there are two lightnings striking the city with their natural fierce. At the middle there's another lightning more little than the other two, and this is striking above the water's surface.
This image transmits me a very biug impression of what the nature is able to do. The most striking of this image is the fierce of the lightning falling over the earth, it's like the ancient legends of Greece when Zeus was angry he threw lightning over the cities to punish the humanity, in fact it is not very different at all. In this picture "Mother" nature shows us that even the humanity is able to control its enviroment to live there are many forces of the nature that escape from its control, and they are rebel and not so easy to be subdued.

Reflectation about the film and the book
1. Settings:
The first thing that is different between the film and the book is the place or setting. In the film it seems to be a modern city, where the Capulets and the Montagues live as rich men, not as Lords of Verona. And in the book, the setting is a city from the medieval times, from the 10th century.
2.Imagery
The water in the film simbolizes the safety when Romeo and Juliet meet for first time, the fire means the passion, and the black clouds of storm, they mean that there is a terrible fate to meet. Even though I haven't got the soul of a poet to understand all those things.
3.Language
In the movie there are many characters, but they don't speak with the same language. Romeo and Juliet they are the main characters who speak in verse, but it also have character like Mercutio or Tybalt who also speak in verse, or even the Friar Laurenc or the Nurse. Other characters speak in prose, like Lord Montague and Lord Capulet, and their wifes. The narrator of the film is the TV presenter from the news.
4.Fancy dress party
The fancy dress party is the first time that Romeo and Juliet meet. Romeo's dress simbolizes that he is Juliets blue prince, his true love always there for her. And Juliet's dress simbolizes that she's Romeo's angel, the angel which he has been dreaming to find and love as no one has done before.
5.Elements
All in the story has changed, the sword for guns, the houses for rich men in a modern city, the "forest of Verona" has turned into a beach, the horses by cars, etc... But everything can seem strange if you have read the book before you see the movie. But after you see the movie you understand all those changes

You are my life
Breathing your air
dreaming your dreams
and I want you to know
you are in them
who are the guilty
all my labors
want you to understand
you're my desire
I spend my days
whole nights
thinking about love
that runs through my veins
thinking that sought
someone I want
and that finally found someone
worth
And I want to confess
my life is you
el angel my guardian
which gives me the light
which illuminates
the impasse
which has given
hope to my life (x2)
I'm here to candlelight
writing a song
the most beautiful woman
because I want you to know
I fell in love with her
and I want to take
me to the stars
That feeling
through my body
every time you look at me
and time stops
every time you kiss me
you steal my breath
you're the princess
it gave me the story
And I want to confess
my life is you
el angel my guardian
which gives me the light
which illuminates
the impasse
which has given
hope to my life (x2)
Breathing your air
dreaming your dreams
and I want you to know
you are in them
who are the guilty
all my labors
want you to understand
you're my desire
Love it
love will
I felt love
for so long and see
that will express me
second to second
before finally
I run out of world
And I want to confess
my life is you
el angel my guardian
which gives me the light
which illuminates
the impasse
which has given
hope to my life (x2)

Which kind of love does the song talk about?
The love of this song, is true and pure, the singer would do anything what he could for making happy his women.

Science limitations
Nowadays scientist make a lot of experiments, those could help us to go forward in the path of progress. However, are there enough limitations? No, should they have them?
On one hand scientist should have some limitations if they work in the genetic engineering, because around the world ther are many people who play yo be God, creating hybrids between humans and animals. Although, in the make-up industry they use animals for testing their products, nevertheless their methods to test it, are a bit inhuman, if we think of the animal viewpoint.
On the other hand, they shouldn't have limitations, thanks to them the experiments have become very advanced if we compare to experiments of 10 years ago. Nowadays all those experiments have been the solutions for many problems or illnesses, like smallpox. Scientists have said that in 10 years, no one will suffer from cancer.
In my opinion, scientific limitations aren't a good idea to help to our society to progress and save more lives than ever, but we've got to be conscious of what we are doing tp the experimental animals and we must treat them better than we actually do.

Kinds of Love on TV
Plot: On the distand lands of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, after the death of the current king, Robert Baratheon, the nobles families of Westeros willl fight against each other to reach the Iron Throne, and with it the control of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros.
Kinds of love which appear: This TV show is very loooooong, so I would explain shortly some kinds of love which their appear in the show:
-True love: This is between Lord Eddard Stark and Lady Catelyn, they love each other, as no other character in the show. Their love is the most pure and true of the show.
-Sibling's love: This kind of love is taken to the extrem with the caracter of Cersei and Jamie Lannister.
-False love: This kind of love appears between Cersei Lannister and Robert Baratheon, while Robert loves Cersei, Cersei only loves his twin, Jamie.

The song that half world doesn't know what it says
Dragostea din tei is maybe the song that no one understands what it says(or if you understabd rumanian, you're lucky) but everybody who has listenend the radio in 2003 knows which song is that(or if you click on the video below). It's funny because we tried to sing it every time we heard it on the radio, but most of the times we failed. But I've read an English translation tf the song and... IT TALKS ABOUT LOVE!!! Surprising don't you think? But we don't understand nothing of it, well that's all I wanted to say about this song that marked my childhood, when I sang in every place that I heard the song, those are my good memories about this song.
Tongariro National Park a natural jewel
In 1993 Tongariro became the first property to be inscribed on the World Heritage List revised under criteria describing cultural landscapes. It is one of the most impressive natural parks of New Zealand. Centuries ago there lived the ancestors of the actual Maori culture. Its landscape is a natural jewel that had captivated all the tourists who had been there. Tongariro also has appeared in a trilogy of movies of the new zealander director Peter Jackson, The Lord of the Rings as the Dark Land of Mordor.
I would like to go to Tongariro in the future if my economy allows me,or even in my honeymoon. The reason why I would like to go there are simple, first of all I'm a LOTR fan, so fan that I've tried to learn Quenya(elvish) for my own way, second Tongariro as I said before it's a natural jewel located in the last natural frontier, New Zealand, and I ever wanted to go and visit New Zealand.

His most popular plays are: Hamlet, The Merchant of Venice, As you like it, Herny V or Romeo and Juliet.
Which play would you like to see?
The play of Shakespeare I want to go and see, always has been Hamlet because I've seen a funny parody of it on TV in the Simpson's Show and I want to see the real version.
