Memories of a tourist. Italy.

My trip to Italy with my highschool has been memorable. Many unforgettable moments have happened, and some more of less importance will be forgotten. But that will remain in my life memories, so long as we remember.

My best moment of my trip was when I was with Tim, Max and Arnau before going in our Rome hotel, before we were noticed that we had the PROTOTYPE of a hotel room. When we went into our room we didn't notice anything, but when we watched with attentive eyes, we noticed many fails in our room: the beds were a bit destroyed, our thermostat was doing "concerts" in the middle of the the night(so memorable music and so emotive), the ventilation grille didn't have screws, in our blankets there were some "red stains" and it was a bit uncomfortable, we had a table which could dance(it wasn't fixed at all), our wardrobe door was the best one I've ever seen before, it was removable.

This was our imperfectly perfect room, at first we disagreed with this room but at least we finally laughed as nobody has done before. It just was the perfect moment of all the trip. Check the video below to understand our laughter.

Paper Book vs Digital Book

Nowadays we are in an age which the traditional books made of paper and the digital books are coexisting, but which of them is better than the other? The paper book or the digital book?

Advantages and disadvantages of the paper book:

On one hand, the paper book is better than the digital book, for the feeling of having a book in your hands, reading it page by page, or even the touch of the paper with your skin. Another pro of the paper book is the relative resistance to water. A paper book does not start to fail after being soaked. And of course less fragile than the last-generation of eBooks.

On the other hand. The paper books are more inflamable than the digital books, and more sensitive when you try to rip the pages. Or even the ink when the book gets wet the sentences will be moved. Another disadvantatge of the paper book is that the paper books are more expensive than a digital book.

Advantages and disadvantages of the digital book:

On one hand, the digital books are cheaper than paper books and easier to bring it in a bag, because they are stored in the eBook. The brigthness of an eBook is easy to regulate and the pages are easier to moved them to continue reading.

On the other hand, digital books are more sensitive to water, bringing them to an short-circuit and them at least, being useless.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, and in my opinion, I would always be a paper book reader, the fomat of the digital book and the idea of having a tablet instead of a book it's a thing that annoys me.

The world best photos

Triple lightning strike during a violent storm over the city of Genève, France

First of all, both of us have to agree that is a striking image. At the bottom of the image there's a city crossed by a river, or maybe it could be the sea, who knows. At the top of the image there are grey clouds saying that a storm is above their heads. At the right there are two lightnings striking the city with their natural fierce. At the middle there's another lightning more little than the other two, and this is striking above the water's surface.

This image transmits me a very biug impression of what the nature is able to do. The most striking of this image is the fierce of the lightning falling over the earth, it's like the ancient legends of Greece when Zeus was angry he threw lightning over the cities to punish the humanity, in fact it is not very different at all. In this picture "Mother" nature shows us that even the humanity is able to control its enviroment to live there are many forces of the nature that escape from its control, and they are rebel and  not so easy to be subdued.

Reflectation about the film and the book

1. Settings:

The first thing that is different between the film and the book is the place or setting. In the film it seems to be a modern city, where the Capulets and the Montagues live as rich men, not as Lords of Verona. And in the book, the setting is a city from the medieval times, from the 10th century.

2.Imagery

The water in the film simbolizes the safety when Romeo and Juliet meet for first time, the fire means the passion, and the black clouds of storm, they mean that there is a terrible fate to meet. Even though I haven't got the soul of a poet to understand all those things.

3.Language

In the movie there are many characters, but they don't speak with the same language. Romeo and Juliet they are the main characters who speak in verse, but it also have character like Mercutio or Tybalt who also speak in verse, or even the Friar Laurenc or the Nurse. Other characters speak in prose, like Lord Montague and Lord Capulet, and their wifes. The narrator of the film is the TV presenter from the news.

4.Fancy dress party

The fancy dress party is the first time that Romeo and Juliet meet. Romeo's dress simbolizes that he is Juliets blue prince, his true love always there for her. And Juliet's dress simbolizes that she's Romeo's angel, the angel which he has been dreaming to find and love as no one has done before.

5.Elements

All in the story has changed, the sword for guns, the houses for rich men in a modern city, the "forest of Verona" has turned into a beach, the horses by cars, etc... But everything can seem strange if you have read the book before you see the movie. But after you see the movie you understand all those changes
