Reflectation about the film and the book

1. Settings:

The first thing that is different between the film and the book is the place or setting. In the film it seems to be a modern city, where the Capulets and the Montagues live as rich men, not as Lords of Verona. And in the book, the setting is a city from the medieval times, from the 10th century.

2.Imagery

The water in the film simbolizes the safety when Romeo and Juliet meet for first time, the fire means the passion, and the black clouds of storm, they mean that there is a terrible fate to meet. Even though I haven't got the soul of a poet to understand all those things.

3.Language

In the movie there are many characters, but they don't speak with the same language. Romeo and Juliet they are the main characters who speak in verse, but it also have character like Mercutio or Tybalt who also speak in verse, or even the Friar Laurenc or the Nurse. Other characters speak in prose, like Lord Montague and Lord Capulet, and their wifes. The narrator of the film is the TV presenter from the news.

4.Fancy dress party

The fancy dress party is the first time that Romeo and Juliet meet. Romeo's dress simbolizes that he is Juliets blue prince, his true love always there for her. And Juliet's dress simbolizes that she's Romeo's angel, the angel which he has been dreaming to find and love as no one has done before.

5.Elements

All in the story has changed, the sword for guns, the houses for rich men in a modern city, the "forest of Verona" has turned into a beach, the horses by cars, etc... But everything can seem strange if you have read the book before you see the movie. But after you see the movie you understand all those changes

You are my life

Lyrics Translation:
Breathing your air
dreaming your dreams
and I want you to know
you are in them
who are the guilty
all my labors
want you to understand
you're my desire
I spend my days
whole nights
thinking about love
that runs through my veins
thinking that sought
someone I want
and that finally found someone
worth
And I want to confess
my life is you
el angel my guardian
which gives me the light
which illuminates
the impasse
which has given
hope to my life (x2)
I'm here to candlelight
writing a song
the most beautiful woman
because I want you to know
I fell in love with her
and I want to take
me to the stars
That feeling
through my body
every time you look at me
and time stops
every time you kiss me
you steal my breath
you're the princess
it gave me the story
And I want to confess
my life is you
el angel my guardian
which gives me the light
which illuminates
the impasse
which has given
hope to my life (x2)
Breathing your air
dreaming your dreams
and I want you to know
you are in them
who are the guilty
all my labors
want you to understand
you're my desire
Love it
love will
I felt love
for so long and see
that will express me
second to second
before finally
I run out of world
And I want to confess
my life is you
el angel my guardian
which gives me the light
which illuminates
the impasse
which has given
hope to my life (x2)

Which kind of love does the song talk about?
The love of this song, is true and pure, the singer would do anything what he could for making happy his women.

Science limitations

Nowadays scientist make a lot of experiments, those could help us to go forward in the path of progress. However, are there enough limitations? No, should they have them?

On one hand scientist should have some limitations if they work in the genetic engineering, because around the world ther are many people who play yo be God, creating hybrids between humans and animals. Although, in the make-up industry they use animals for testing their products, nevertheless their methods to test it, are a bit inhuman, if we think of the animal viewpoint.

On the other hand, they shouldn't have limitations, thanks to them the experiments have become very advanced if we compare to experiments of 10 years ago. Nowadays all those experiments have been the solutions for many problems or illnesses, like smallpox. Scientists have said that in 10 years, no one will suffer from cancer.

In my opinion, scientific limitations aren't a good idea to help to our society to progress and save more lives than ever, but we've got to be conscious of what we are doing tp the experimental animals and we must treat them better than we actually do.

Kinds of Love on TV

Plot: On the distand lands of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, after the death of the current king, Robert Baratheon, the nobles families of Westeros willl fight against each other to reach the Iron Throne, and with it the control of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros.

Kinds of love which appear: This TV show is very loooooong, so I would explain shortly some kinds of love which their appear in the show:

-True love: This is between Lord Eddard Stark and Lady Catelyn, they love each other, as no other character in the show. Their love is the most pure and true of the show.

-Sibling's love: This kind of love is taken to the extrem with the caracter of Cersei and Jamie Lannister.

-False love: This kind of love appears between Cersei Lannister and Robert Baratheon, while Robert loves Cersei, Cersei only loves his twin, Jamie.

The song that half world doesn't know what it says

Dragostea din tei is maybe the song that no one understands what it says(or if you understabd rumanian, you're lucky) but everybody who has listenend the radio in 2003 knows which song is that(or if you click on the video below). It's funny because we tried to sing it every time we heard it on the radio, but most of the times we failed. But  I've read an English translation tf the song and... IT TALKS ABOUT LOVE!!! Surprising don't you think? But we don't understand nothing of it, well that's all I wanted to say about this song that marked my childhood, when I sang in every place that I heard the song, those are my good memories about this song.

Tongariro National Park a natural jewel

In 1993 Tongariro became the first property to be inscribed on the World Heritage List revised under criteria describing cultural landscapes. It is one of the most impressive natural parks of New Zealand. Centuries ago there lived the ancestors of the actual Maori culture. Its landscape is a natural jewel that had captivated all the tourists who had been there. Tongariro also has appeared in a trilogy of  movies of  the new zealander director Peter Jackson, The Lord of the Rings as the Dark Land of Mordor.

I would like to go to Tongariro in the future if my economy allows me,or even in my honeymoon. The reason why I would like to go there are simple, first of all I'm a LOTR fan, so fan that I've tried to learn Quenya(elvish) for my own way, second Tongariro as I said before it's a natural jewel located in the last natural frontier, New Zealand, and I ever wanted to go and visit New Zealand.

Shakespeare's biography(summary)

William Shakespeare is the greatest English writer and playwright of all times. His plays are known around the world. He was born in Stratford-upon-Avon in 1564 and he died in 1616. His work consists in 38 plays, 154 sonnets(a type of poem) and many other poems. He married Anne Hataway when he was only 18 years old, with her he had 3 children. In his youth he went to London to work as an actor and a writer. In 1599 the Globe Theatre was built in London, situated next to the River Thames, where Shakespeare was first perfomed, but in 1613 this theathre was destroyed by a fire. Shakespeare wrote comedies, dramas and tragedies. Even though Shakespeare died many centuries ago, his plays are still very popular nowadays, because they contain many fantastic elements. His most popular plays are: Hamlet, The Merchant of Venice, As you like it, Herny V or Romeo and Juliet

Which play would you like to see?

The play of Shakespeare I want to go and see, always has been Hamlet because I've seen a funny parody of it on TV in the Simpson's Show and I want to see the real version.

HARD SELL vs SOFT SELL

Definition of "Soft sell": Advertising and sales practices denoted by subtle language and a non-aggressive technique. A soft sell is designed to avoid angering potential customers and pushing them away. Because soft selling is a low-pressure sales technique, it may not result in a sale the first time a product is presented.

Example:

Definition of "Hard sell": Advertising and sales practices denoted by aggressive or forceful language. A hard sell is designed to get a consumer to purchase a good or service in the short-term, rather than evaluate his or her options and potentially decide to wait on the purchase. It is considered a high-pressure technique.

Example:

The best game ever

The best game I've ever played, with difference, is World of Warcraft. I've played lots of MMORPGs (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) but World of Warcraft has reached the first position on my ranking. Meanwhile there are lots of free MMORPGs but it is strange on me, why do I pay when there are lots of free games? Easy question and answer. In the videogames world there are a big population of players that are very competititve and they only search for a game that they can be the best. But with the mensual quota, WoW (the diminutive of World of Warcraft) doesn't "allow" this population of players enter the game. I'm a MMORPGs lover, and I'm not afraid of recognising it. Actually I'm on the highest ranking on the WoW best players. My favourite race in the game is the Orc or maybe the Blood Elf, I don't know why but they captivated me for the first moment.

Martial arts, why do I enjoy them?

Why I enjoy martial arts? Easy question, I enjoy martial arts because it is the best sport type I've tried in my life. It is the best way that  I lost a bit of weight, and for toning my entire body. In fact martial arts shows us many types of self-defense skills.  First of all there are the combat skills, which are all related with punches, kicks, elbow hits, knee hits or even heel kicks. After, there are the self-defense skills, which are related when you are being strangled, immobilized, etc. It shows you where do you have to press, to give you time to run away. Finally, there are the skills, when your aggressor has a weapon, it shows you how to react or what to do in those cases.
My conclusion is that martial arts is one of the best sports to use in life, but you shouldn't live by it, but it is useful for life of every day.
